I believe in big, handmade blankets, artisan shawls, or oversized sweaters, over the housecoat. Be it when I first wake, or am decompressing at the end of the day, my go-to is very much like this String Theory shawl. Pure bliss.

This all happened in the winter of 2011. Photographer and furniture designer Ana Kraš flew from her home in Belgrade, Serbia into to Los Angeles, where she’d been sent on assignment to photograph artist-musician Devendra Banhart. In the first five minutes, Devendra asked her to marry him. Despite Ana’s initial impulse to flee, she stayed—and the two have been together ever since.

Last summer, my husband and I got to do experience this. Whenever I am feeling stressed, anxious or want to instantly feel calm, I think of diving with the whale shark pod we were lucky to meet during our time in Mexico.
